School Counseling Resources and Information
I am a School Counselor at D.C. Cannon Elementary. I am here to support students in all aspects of their lives including academic, career, and social/emotional well-being.
This is my second year as a school counselor, and my 9th year in education. I previously worked in special education for 6 years. My educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from The University of Texas at Dallas (2008), a Master's Degree in Teaching from Dallas Baptist University (2012), as well as a Counseling Certification from Angelo State University (2018).
COVID 19 UPDATE:
I am thinking about you all during this time. I am aware that the transition to Distance Learning is not an easy one and may be a cause of great stress and worry for your family. Please know that I am available to support any needs you may have. The above information is still the best way to get into contact with me. You may also check your child's Google Classroom for information and helpful lessons from your counseling staff.
We are constantly updating our Community Resources. Please check them out if you have any needs.
