School Profile

D.C Cannon Elementary School is a part of Quinlan Independent School District located in Quinlan, Texas and Hunt County. We serve a Pre K-2nd grade.  The student population is approximately 650 students. Our instructional programs reflect the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills curriculum adopted by the State of Texas.

The current faculty is made up of 35 certified teachers and 33 support staff made up of both professionals and paraprofessionals.  The school’s administration is composed of a principal, assistant principal, counselors, and a full-time registered nurse.

Quinlan ISD offers an after school program. Cannon’s ACE program serves our students until 5:45 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Students staying for ACE receive a full dinner and a snack and have the opportunity to participate in exciting enrichment activities such as karate, art, gardening, and much more.
