Meet Mr. Jones; Our DC Cannon Music Teacher! 🎵

Hi everyone,
My name is Mr. Jones, and I am excited to be your music teacher here at Cannon.

A Little About Me
This is my fourth year teaching music at Cannon. I have a strong passion for music, creativity, and helping students grow. I have worked with students from Pre-K through college, and I enjoy bringing that experience into the classroom each day.

Education
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts and Speech Education from Kansas Wesleyan University with a minor in Political Science. In addition, post graduate work East Texas State University, attended Trinity Valley Community College and graduated from Ford High School.

What We Will Do in Music Class
In music class, students will learn a variety of songs and explore different types of instruments. We will focus on understanding rhythm and steady beat while building confidence as young musicians. Most importantly, students will have the opportunity to enjoy learning and making music together.

Our Goal
Music class is a place where every student can be creative, try new things, work together, and experience the joy of making music.
