Jennifer Thomas » Hello!

Hello!

Hi Panthers! My name is Jennifer Thomas and this is my second year having the privilege to serve Quinlan ISD as the District Occupational Therapist. I am an East Texas girl from birth, born and raised in Nacogdoches, completing my master’s in Occupational Therapy (OT) from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

This will be my 18th year as an OT, spending the better part of my career in neurorehabilitative pediatrics (Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth), before transitioning to the educational setting. Although, on a smaller scale, I still enjoy working in the medical setting and currently work at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas on an as needed basis. I am a huge proponent of child-safety and have been a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) for over 10 years and have organized and assisted with multiple educational opportunities through community based engagement and events through various ISD's.

My husband Bill and I (he, a Greenville native), have three awesome boys that you are guaranteed to find on a youth court, field, or track. He is a Commercial Loan Officer at CBTx in Emory and outside of work, can also be found coaching on a youth court, field, or track. One of the many things that bring me JOY outside of being an OT is being outside tending to an ever-growing collection of flowers and plants. I am looking forward to continuing to serve the students and staff of Quinlan ISD.
Each day that I can make a positive impact on the educational growth and functional potential of the students of Quinlan brings me JOY and pride in being a Panther!
