About Me

🌟 Meet Your Teacher:
Hello! I’m Jacey Selter, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to step into my seventh year in the classroom. After spending 2019–2024 at Quinlan ISD teaching first grade, I’m excited to return for the 2025–2026 school year with fresh energy and new perspective.

My teaching journey took a meaningful detour last year when I served as a homeschool co‑op teacher at Giants Kingdom Homeschool in Caddo Mills, working with students from kindergarten through fourth grade. It was an incredible experience—designing hands‑on lessons across grade levels and fostering wonder-filled learning in a smaller community. But what I missed most was our Quinlan family—the laughter in our hallways, the magic in our classroom community, and the connection with each child’s story.

I believe learning happens when curiosity leads the way. In my classroom, every question is a doorway to discovery, and every student’s idea matters. Watching a shy reader in first grade light up when they recognize their first word is why I teach. That “aha!” moment—when math makes sense or a story comes alive—is pure gold.

Outside the classroom, I love gathering with my family/friends, church community, discovering a great book, or taking walks through neighborhood trails—always collecting ideas to bring back to school.

Let’s make this year a joyful adventure, full of creativity, confidence, and community. I can’t wait to get started and celebrate each step of your child’s journey. Have questions or just want to say hi? Reach out—let’s connect!
